Honestly, I’m not usually a huge fan of contests. Well, specifically contests that pit people against each other because someone has to lose. I’ve always been more of the co-operative, we-did-it kind of mentality. However, from time to time I do like to engage myself in some competitive activities. One such is a contest that’s been going on Ryan Seacrest’s website finding the best covers of some of the most popular songs this year (most of which, I’ve never heard of) including “Royals,” “Treasure,” “Roar” (DEFINITELY heard that one), and “Wake Me Up.”

Currently, the contests are on their second rounds, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t stop voting. The great part about all of this is that most of these covers,if not all, come from Youtubers! It’s about time someone acknowledged the talent on Youtube! (cough Youtube Music Awards cough) (whew excuse my terrible cough right there)

There’s some amazing people on here who you can vote for! There are friends of MyMusic on there like Taryn Southern and even some people who I recognized (including one cover of “Roar” by this girl who looked strikingly similar to Scene. Maybe she has a doppleganger…) Either way, you should take some time out of your day, hop onto the link below, and vote for some talent!
