Indie’s Pic Of The Week: David, Iggy, and Lou

This photo, taken at London’s Dorchester Hotel in 1972, captures the holy trinity of rock & roll in the early ’70s: David Bowie, Iggy Pop, and Lou Reed.

Each artist was so distinct yet they all left an indelible mark on the music industry which resonates to this day. If any good came out of Reed’s passing, it’s that his album sales rose 607 percent since his death and so many new people have been exposed to his genius.

If you haven’t become familiar with Reed’s solo work or his extraordinary efforts as a member of the Velvet Underground, or Bowie’s landmark albums or Iggy’s genius collaborations with The Stooges, your loss.
