Lady Gaga Debuts ‘An ARTPOP Film’

The Lady Gaga promotional train just keeps on chugging! Hoping to retain the top spot on the Billboard 200, Gaga continues to promote the heck out of ARTPOP. But let’s face it, even if she didn’t have an album to promote, Gaga is never one to shy away from the spotlight.

Her latest publicity grab is “An ARTPOP Film,” though at 2 minutes and 38 seconds, “film” seems rather questionable.

The clips opens with Gaga declaring, “This album is a celebration. My pain exploding in electronic music. It’s heavy, but after I listen to it, I feel happy again. I feel lighter.” Glad you feel that way, Gaga!

“An ARTPOP Film” ends up being the perfect culmination of Gaga’s last few months, filled with slow-mo shots of Gaga’s most recent fashion choices and personas set to the ARTPOP’s title track.

The video, sorry, movie, was directed by Dutch fashion photographers  Inez van Lamsweerde and Vindooh Matadin who certainly share Gaga’s eye for the insane. You may recall the duo’s bizarre Bjork photos.

I will hand it to Gaga. Even though she refuses to shy from the public eye she continues to keep things fresh and interesting (take note Miley Cyrus!) and I’m always curious to find out what she’s going to do next. Guess we’ll have to wait and see!
