Best of The Fest: 5 Great Live Moments From 2013!!!

This weekend the Pitchfork Festival is taking place in Paris. Aside from having a lineup that according to Indie is “très mainstream” it’s also one of the last major music festivals of the year.

In honor of the unofficial end to festival season, the MyMusic staff was tasked with selecting their favorite music festival performances from the past year. Here are their picks!:

Techno & Dubstep’s Pick: AVICII at Tomorrowland

The number of awesome EDM fests continues to grow and grow, but Tomorrowland in Belgium remains the PLUREST of the PLUR. Although Dubstep and I sadly weren’t able to attend, our friends told us AVICII stole the show, and this video of “Levels” and “Wake Me Up” back to back definitely confirms that!

Metal’s Pick: Ghost B.C. at Coachella

Ghost B.C. showed those dirty hipsters that infest Coachella a thing or two about kicking ass with their rage-filled daytime set. I’m already regretting not dressing as Papa Emeritus for Halloween. Stupid Intern 2!

Indie’s Pick: Omar Souleyman at FYF Fest

I had the privilege of attending L.A.’s FYF Fest and witnessing Omar Souleyman steal the show with his middle eastern beats and infectious energy. This brilliant Syrian performer has released over 500 albums, and that’s still not enough.

Scene’s Pick: Fall Out Boy at Reading Festival

I soooooo wish I could have gone 2 England and watch Fall Out Boy perform live because the guyz seem even more amazing than usual in this video … and i didnt think that was possible!!!! On a side note, why would they call this the “Reading” Festival when their doesn’t seem 2 be any books? Weird!

Country’s Pick: Florida Georgia Line at the CMA Music Fest

The CMA Music Fest always manages to attract country’s biggest and brightest. So I was delighted to see that one of my favorite newcomers Florida Georgia Line were able to hold their own among such a huge array of talent!
