Hey, friends, Idol here.  I’ve tried so so hard these last few days to get over Miley’s breakup with Liam but the tears keep flowing like Lil’ Wayne’s bottle of sizzurp.  I hope I spelled that correctly.  Anyway, since the wounds are already open, I figured now would be the perfect time for the MyMusic staff to offer our picks for the worst breakups ever between two musicians. As mentioned above, this list will not include any relationship involving Taylor Swift because she breakups up with a new celebrity every other week, and thus, has an unfair advantage. I’m just trying to be fair, people!!!

Metal’s Pick: Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez

Normally I couldn’t give a crap about these two, but when you have a teenage daughter who won’t stop screaming and crying and screaming and screaming, you begin to care.

Idol’s Pick: Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake

If it wasn’t for JT ripping out her hear heart and crushing it, Britney probably would’ve never gone crazy! For that, I will always hate Cameron Diaz, Jessica Biel and any other skank who unwrapped Justin’s box.

Indie’s Pick: Thurston Moore and Kim Gordon

Sonic Youth is that rare band which continued to produce landmark album after landmark album without ever becoming mainstream. When Thurston and Kim announced that they would be getting a divorce, I became sick to my stomach. Seriously, my vomit mug was filled for days.

Techno & Dubstep’s Pick: Skrillex and Ellie Goulding

Dubstep and I agree that “Summit” is one of the PLURest songs ever made. So if Skirllex and Ellie Goulding’s break up means the two of them won’t be making anymore music together, then that makes me and Dubstep sad. And we hate being sad!

Scene’s Pick: Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson

Sorry, guyzzz. I thought this was a list of the BEST breakups ever.
