ARIANA HAS GRANDE DEBUT

Ariana Grande went big this week as her album “Yours Truly” debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.

Grande, or as I like to call her, the future Mariah Carey, became the first female artist to top the chart with a debut release since Ke$ha unleashed “Animal” back in January 2010.  That was so long ago, One Direction didn’t even exist!  Crazy to think there was a world without One Direction.

Speaking of crazy, let’s take a minute to pray super hard that Ariana doesn’t end up like a certain other Nickelodeon star whose name happens to begin with A (and I’m not talking about Ashley Argota).

Seriously, pray!

I feel good about that.  I also feel good about Tamar Braxton, whose album “Love & War” earned the No. 2 spot on the charts.  Way to follow in your older sister’s footsteps, Tamar!  You all remember Toni Braxton, right?  Un-break my hearrrrttt!!!!  Say you’ll love me again!!!!!  No?  Doesn’t ring a bell?  OMG, I am such an old maid!

Rounding out the top five are “Hesitation Marks” from Nine Inch Nails (I prefer nine inch heels), John Legend’s “Love In The Future” and country cutie Luke Bryan’s “Crash My Party.”  My identical cousin Country claims she called dibs on Luke but if (or rather when) he decides to ask me out out, I ain’t sayin’ naw.  That’s right, Luke, you can crash my party anytime you want!!!!

What’s your top album of the week?  Be sure to let us know in the comments below!

WHAT DO YOU THINK?
