There are several reasons Austin Criswell has earned nearly 100,000 subscribers and 10 million hits on his YouTube channel: his voice is amazing, he’s an incredible guitarist, he’s a talented songwriter (I could go on forever)! For the past five years, the Pennsylvania native has been sharing his incredible covers and original songs and he keeps getting better and better.

Another great thing about Austin (sorry, I couldn’t resist!) is his willingness 2 explore sooo many different genres with his acoustic guitar. He’s covered everyone from The Temptations 2 the Foo Fighters 2 the Avett Brothers to 1 of my personal favorites, Owl City!!!

Austin’s big break came a little over 2 years ago when his cover of Death Cab for Cutie’s “I’ll Follow You Into the Dark” went viral. Recently, Austin put the song up on iTunes and it’s definitely worth a download!

Even though Austin only has a handful of original songs on his channel, they’re all so so so good! My personal favorite is “I’ll Never Be with You” which is super sad 🙁 and super beautiful 🙂 and makes me cry tears of sadness 🙁 and tears of joy 🙂
