Everyone give it up for my boy Drake, who proved he’s the world’s greatest once again by becoming the most tweeted about rapper of 2013.

According to MTV News there have been 52,202,000 tweets generated by Drizzy over the past year. There’s been plenty to tweet about Drake in 2013, with the release of his album Nothing Was The Same, his arena tour, not to mention popular trend topics such as #DrakeTwitterPassword and #DrakeTaughtMe.

Drake was so popular this year, the next rapper on the list, Eminem, managed to generate less than half as many tweets. But let’s give Eminem props. Generating 21,271,953 tweets ain’t too shabby.

Coming in at number three was Lil’ Wayne (remember when everyone that he was going to die???) followed by Kanye West at number four. I’m sure Kanye is upset about not being on top, but he can take solace in the fact that Yeezus generated more tweets than any other hip hop album.

Despite their popularity, Drake, Em, Weezy, and Kanye still can’t touch Katy Perry when it comes to their Twitter followers. Earlier this year Perry overtook Justin Bieber as the most popular person in music on Twitter. Currently she has nearly 49 million followers while Drake has yet to surpass the 14 million mark.
