Macklemore & Ryan Lewis just dropped the first installment of their YouTube series which documents their current world tour. And I gotta say it’s pretty dope!
The video, which just so happens to be directed by Lewis, follows the “Thrift Shop” duo throughout Europe, bringing the heat to packed arenas.
Speaking of thrift shops, I just found a Doctor Who VHS box set at my local Goodwill. Score!
Anyway, Macklemore & Lewis will kick off the U.S. leg of their world tour beginning October 26 in Portland and wrap things up with sold out shows in Seattle in December. Hopefully, I’ll be able to check them out.
Some of you may be wondering why I’m covering a hip hop story for the MyMusic blog. Just because I no longer go by the name of “Hip Hop” at MyMusic doesn’t mean I’m no longer a fan of hip hop music. In fact I still love hip hop, especially artists like Macklemore & Ryan Lewis who promote being true to yourself. It doesn’t get more awesome than that!
