The Best Around: MyMusic’s Top Songs of 2013!!!

Country’s Pick: “Cruise (Remix)” by Florida Georgia Line ft. Nelly

Normally I’m not a fan of the remix but the addition of Nelly on “Cruise” made a great song even better. Here’s to more country and hip hop collaborations in the years to come (just as long as they don’t involve LL Cool J and Brad Paisley).

Scene’s Pick: “My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light Em Up)” by Fall Out Boy

SHOCKING, right? Of course I was going 2 choose Fall Out Boy! the question was, which song 2 pick? In the end I decided 2 go with “My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light Em Up)” because it was the first single off FOB’s epic comeback album and, of course, it’s awesome!

Nerdcore’s Pick: “Nerd Life” by MC Frontalot

No song sums up my year quite like “Nerd Life.” 2013 was a pretty rough but ultimately satisfying year for yours truly ,and MC Frontalot definitely helped me get through the tough times.

Metal’s Pick: “End of the Beginning” by Black Sabbath

Sabbath is back and not better than ever. But they still kick nearly every other band’s ass! Stay sober, Ozzy!

Techno & Dubstep’s Pick: “Lose Yourself to Dance” by Daft Punk

“Get Lucky” may have been the more popular hit, but “Lose Yourself to Dance” has the better message. What a PLUR year for EDM!

Indie Pick: “Never Run Away” by Kurt Vile

Culkin name, Culkin song. Culkin. Sorry, I watched a lot of Home Alone over the holidays.
