UPDATE: Lady Gaga NOT announced as one of the SNL performers or hosts through the first 3 episodes.

Lady Gaga can’t get out of the spotlight these days it seems! She did a fabulous job opening the VMAs this year with her multiple outfit-raging performance of “Applause” (I almost feel like she was doing a slideshow of her past styles and choreography! I’m sure I wasn’t the only one to catch this) and her upcoming album ARTPOP is getting as big of a buzz as anything she’s put out before. Sooooo what would, of course, be the next step for Gaga? SNL, sillies!

Although SNL reps have declined to comment, strong rumors are coming out that Lady Gaga will be performing AND hosting SNL’s new season coming this fall. It’s not odd for SNL to give a performer the dual job of hosting and performing and has actually made it into a recent trend giving the double duty to Justin Bieber, Bruno Mars, and Justin Timberlake. How can we forget how AMAZE every SNL episode that JT has hosted?! Girl, that man can sing AND act AND make me laugh. The perfect recipe for the perfect man……if he could ever find me. Sigh.

This isn’t the first time that Lady Gaga has hosted SNL, she’s hosted three times before, but every time she performs it’s always something new, fresh, and daring. Since the performances usually involve two songs, we all know one will be “Applause,” which means the other will be a BRAND NEW SONG!!! AHHHHHHH!!!! More Gaga for my Spotify! More screaming from me in the future!

Not only did her performance from the VMAs catch the eye of SNL, but her acting debut in the upcoming movie “Machete Kills,” may have them interested in her acting chops. She did seem pretty comfortable on the SNL skits she did appear in during her previous appearances. I think she may have appeared on one of those hilarious digital shorts too. I can’t remember though? Do any of you remember? Ugh, its on the edge of my brain! This is going to bother me all day!!! Thank you Gaga for this headache! HMPH!
