The Grammys are sooo three days ago. Now it’s time to focus our attention on country music’s biggest night, the 49th annual Academy of Country Music Awards!

The ACM nominees were announced earlier today and this year they’re going old school. Tim McGraw and Miranda Lambert lead the pack with seven nominations each. Faith Hill must be jelly!

Strangely, Tim is nominated for album of the year but failed to receive nominations for male vocalist of the year and entertainer of the year.

Also missing from the entertainer of the year list are recent Grammy winner Kacey Musgraves and Florida Georgia Line who were snubbed by the Grammys. Why can’t FGL get any love???

Miranda, along with Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, George Strait, and Taylor Swift will vie for the night’s top prize. Can Cute Luke make it two in a row? I sure hope so!

It’s up to the fans to decide who will take home that honor, as well as the award for new artist of the year. A full list of nominees can be found here.

The awards will be broadcast live from Las Vegas on CBS April 6. Expect a who’s who of performers not named Robin Thicke to bring down the house!
