The Grammys Are Going To Be Weird!

Over the years The Grammys has had its fair share of crazy moments. There was the time that soy bomb guy started dancing during Bob Dylan’s performance. Way before Kanye West’s infamous “Imma let you finish” Taylor Swift VMA moment, the late Ol’ Dirty Bastard  crashed the stage during Shawn Colvin’s Song of the Year acceptance speech.

And then there was the time Jethro Tull beat out Metallica for Best Metal Performance, an incident I wouldn’t really care about if Metal didn’t keep bringing it up all the time.

Well, it looks like Metal will have a new Grammy moment to obsess over, as it was revealed today Metallica will be performing alongside Chinese concert pianist Lang Lang at this year’s ceremony.

When asked to comment about this unique collaboration, a confused Metal replied, “say what?”

Metallica and Lang Lang won’t be the only strange combo at the Grammys. Robin Thicke will be teaming up with ’70s superstars Chicago. How retro! Kendrick Lamar is performing with Imagine Dragons. Pink and fun.’s Nate Ruess have a duet in store. And then there’s the previously announced Daft Punk extravaganza with Stevie Wonder, Pharrell, and Nile Rodgers.

Not surprisingly, I’m most looking forward to the all star country jam featuring legends Merle Haggard, Kris Kristofferson, and Willie Nelson, along with future legend Blake Shelton.

I can’t wait to watch the madness ensue!
